Kerrville - Windridge to name streets after Kerr County Fallen Heroes

Windridge Subdivision in Kerrville streets names honor Kerr County men who gave their lives for our country. According to Mayor Joe Herring. The process takes awhile -- names are submitted, then checked against current street names throughout the county, then approved as part of the platting process. The street sign at the entrance to the second Lennar Homes project on Veterans Memorial Highway (Loop 534) is named “Chenault.” “Chenault Boulevard” honors two men from Kerrville: James E. Chenault, who died in Korea, and Robert Glen Chenault, who died in Vietnam. Both were only twenty-one years old when they died. (photo by Joe Herring, Jr)
