KPUB Power Plant- construction to start in summer

KPUB Power Plant construction to start this summer. The Kerrville City Council ratified resolutions from KPUB or Kerrville Public Utilities Board. According to KPUB’s CEO Mike Whittler, it would be cheaper to own a power plant rather than continuing to purchase power from other entities. The funds for the plant will come from tax exempt revenue bonds and a loan from the Texas Energy Fund.
