The Kimble Rural Fire Department just received a large grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority. A check for 43 thousand 8 hundred and 50 dollars was presented on Monday to Fire Chief Cecil Conner. The money will go towards a major renovation project for Kimble County’s Emergency Response Center. The fire department serves Junction, Segovia, Roosevelt and London. They also provide aid to Gillespie, Kerr, Edwards, Menard and Sutton counties. The grants are part of the LCRA’s Community Development Partnership Program.
