Llano County - library lawsuite settlement

Details of the Llano County Librarian lawsuit revealed according to dailytrib.com. The settlement was reached in March. Suzette Baker, the head librarian of Kingsland Public Library was fired in 2022 for not removing books Llano County officials and residents deemed inappropriate for children. Baker filed a lawsuit against the county, county commissioners, the county judge and several Library Advisory Board members. Baker will receive 225 thousand dollars to cover her attorney's fees, damages, and other costs. The Texas Association of Counties litigation assistance program will pay the settlement.
