Martin Luther King Day - January 15th

Monday is MLK Day. January 15th is actually Martin Luther King’s Birthday, born January 15, 1929. MLK Day is a federal holiday designated by President Ronald Reagan in 1983. It’s a day to honor King’s life and civil rights legacy. It’s also a day of service. Government offices are closed. Mail will also not be delivered. Most hill country schools are in session. It’s not a holiday for them.
