According to a letter written to Sarah J. Helming, Deputy Administrator of the USDA, the Stop Animal Exploitation Now or SAEN is requesting she file a Federal complaint against Equitech-Bio in Kerr County for violations of the Animal Welfare Act. The violation stems from a failed USDA inspection. The Direct Violation states that 9 animals in need of veterinary care didn’t receive that care from the attending veterinary due to lack of communication. The SAEN is recommending the maximum fine of almost 13 thousand dollars per animal.
