San Marcos needs a new City Hall

Writer's picture: Aurora CantuAurora Cantu

San Marcos vying for a new City Hall. Reports the University Star. The current building was built in 1970 when the population was around 19 thousand. In 2023, the city’s population is a little over 87 thousand. Not only has the population grown, so has the city staff. The building is too small for the growth.  The city owns the land on East Hopkins Street where the new structure is to be built.
