San Marcos - siren fail

Siren malfunction in San Marcos. The outdoor warning sirens did not activate despite San Marcos being located on the edge of a Tornado Warning Friday night that began in Blanco County.  The City of San Marcos put out a post on their Facebook page that they were aware of the siren failure. An initial review indicates the issue may be related to a server malfunction. The cause for the malfunction is under investigation with the system contractor. The city will share an update as soon as more information is available.
