Texas - electric transmission lines

Texas first high-voltage electricity transmission lines are being planned to run between San Antonio and Fort Stockton. The powerline will provide more electricity to the Permian Basin area.  A significant number of area landowners in Bandera, Real & Uvalde Counties along with 11 other counties could be potentially impacted. CPS Energy of San Antonio and AEP-Texas have received state approval to construct the lines. A Public information meeting is scheduled for today, 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Uvalde Event Center on Veterans Lane to give information about the project and answer questions. Concerned property owners are encouraged to attend.
