Texas - Will TX water budget pay to fix problems

Will the water issues of Texas take the same path as the energy grid? A water grid transporting water across the state and even other states. According to Evgenia Spears, the Sierra Club’s Lonestar Chapter Water Coordinator, state lawmakers 2.5 billion proposed budget may not solve all the problems. Measures such as desalinating seawater, treating wastewater from oil and gas production, and building a massive water grid are unproven strategies. Instead, Texas should prioritize improving its water infrastructure: fixing leaky pipes that fail to deliver water to homes, schools and businesses.
