TX DPS system down

Texas vehicle inspections and license renewals have been unavailable since Wednesday. An unknown system glitch is the cause. The hill country is only impacted by license renewals as the vehicle inspection system is down for what’s known as safety only counties. Those are counties requiring emissions testing. No update yet on when the system will be available. DPS will post the update on their FACEBOOK page.
