UPDATE - Accident on Medina Highway leads to death of Center Point teacher

Kerrville Police Department issued an update on the accident that killed a Center Point teacher last Thursday. Charlotte Ritter, 39, a Center Point Middle School teacher died last Thursday after a vehicle accident on Medina Highway. Ritter was traveling south on Medina Highway in an Acura and collided with a Chevrolet Camaro, driven by a 24 years old Kerrville resident travelling north. Ms. Ritter was transported to Peterson Regional emergency room where she passed away. The 24 year old was taken to Peterson also for treatment and then transported to Brooke Army Medical Center by for further treatment. No further information regarding the medical condition of the driver is available at this time. According to Officer Jonathan Lamb of Kerrville PD, the accident is under investigation and is considered a manslaughter fatality. No criminal charges have been filed at this time in connection with this incident. (stock photo)
