Thousands of unprofitable Post Offices could possibly face closure. The United States Post Office posted a loss of 2.5 billion in losses in the third quarter. According to The Hill, Postmaster General David Steiner stated that the USPS faces a liquidity crisis and may run out of cash by 2027. First class Mail Forever stamps are now 82 cents. That price took effect in July.
