Uvalde CISD broke ground on a new elementary school Saturday. The new school is scheduled to open in 2025. There was a moment of silence before the shovels hit the ground. 19 children and 2 teachers were killed by a gunman at Robb Elementary in May 2022. There is still on ongoing investigation before Robb can be demolished.
