250th birthday of the US Marine Corps

Semper Fidelis – Today is the 250^th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. Governor Abbott will deliver a speech at a cake cutting ceremony today at noon at the State Capitol. Joining the Governor are USMC Colonel Chris Chase, USMC Retired Colonel Joe McPhail, Texas Veterans Commission Secretary and Marine veteran Chuck Wright, Round Rock High School JROTC Marine Color Guard, and singer Monty Warden.
