Bandera Natural History and Art Museum funding pulled. They are requesting the public’s help. The museum was notified on Wednesday that their Exhibit Fabrication Grant from Texas Humanities was unexpectedly terminated, due to federal cuts at the National Endowment for the Humanities. The grant funds were slated to help build their temporary displays for the Smithsonian traveling exhibit "Museums on Main Street: Changes in Rural America," coming to Bandera in June. The museum, an official satellite exhibition space, designed temporary exhibits that are now in jeopardy due to the cuts. They need to raise 25 hundred dollars before May. Contact the museum, or make an online donation at banderanhm.org.
