Bandera City - proposed tax rate

A proposed tax rate of $.569939 per $100 valuation has been approved by Bandera City Council members. According to the Bandera Prophet, the city’s current tax rate is $.47 per $100 valuation. The increase is somewhat offset by the taxable value, which will decrease from over $168 thousand dollars to about $156 thousand dollars. At a 97 percent collection rate, the total increase in revenue would be $98,669. The public hearing was Tuesday night.
