Bandera Co Animal Control Dept

Bandera County Commissioners are proposing a stand alone animal control department. There’s been an influx of abandoned animals and people surrendering animals. Sheriff Dan Butts said there were more calls in July for animals than there were for people. They want to add 2 people trained as animal control officers. Currently, deputies are rotating weekly shifts.
