Boerne - Champion welding students

Boerne-Champion High School student welders honored by members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet.  According to the Boerne-Star,   images of a unique dipping vat that help ranchers fight the New World screwworm led to the national recognition. The vat is called T-REX for its size and resemblance to the dinosaur.  The school’s agricultural mechanics program sent members to Washington DC for the Freedom 250 Land & Prosperity Day celebration on June 27. They are the first high school group to ever bring a project to the national level to be recognized,” said Dorman Vick, the head of the Ag Mechanics program at Boerne Champion.
