Boerne HS Band spends their 15 thousand dollar prize money

Thanks to the rock band Metallica, the Boerne High School Band have new instruments. Last Spring the band competed in a Metallica “For Whom The Band Tolls” Marching Band contest. The winners were announced in January. Boerne High School Band tied with a New York high school for the best performance by a medium sized school. And won 15 thousand dollars. With the money, the band bought an entirely new bassline. Also, purchased were several other new instruments. Reports KSAT 12.
