Boerne - vehicle theft/burglaries - suspect captured

Arrest of a suspect in auto thefts in Boerne could lead to clearing auto burglary cases according to the Boerne Star. On Saturday, a Boerne PD officer noticed suspicious activity near several vehicles at Best Western Boerne Inn and Suites while doing a security check. As the officer approached 2 men at the scene, they fled and a chase ensued on IH-10. One was captured as he crashed a Nissan he was driving which was stolen, the other one, fled in a 100 thousand dollar pick-up truck that was also stolen and is still at large. 10 other vehicles at the hotel were burglarized. Daniel Balderas, 20 of San Antonio was arrested and booked into the Kendall County Jail.
