Burnet Co - 391 Commission for Transmission Lines

Burnet County may be looking into a 391 Commission similar to the one formed by Kerr, Kendall and Gillespie Counties. Instead of combatting Battery Energy Storage Systems, Burnet is considering a similar intergovernmental commission to combat the Bell County East to Big Hill 765 kilovolt transmission lines. According to the Daily Trib, Burnet County leadership is reaching out to other local governments for the possibility of forming an official regional planning commission. The commission could potentially offer more power in the ongoing opposition to a state transmission line project that would cut through the county. County Commissioners are holding a public workshop on Tuesday, at the Burnet County Agri-life extension building.
