Shiner Bock owner passes away. Carlos Alvarez, Gambrinus Company Founder was 73. Alvarez bought the historic Spoetzel Brewery in 1989. And put it under the Gambrinus brand which brought Shiner out of its decline. The UTSA School of Business is named after him.
