The City of Fredericksburg’s LIVE CHRISTMAS TREE DISPOSAL INFORMATION. Live Christmas trees may be disposed of as part of the regular brush chipping service. This service is offered the same day as the customer's garbage collection day. When disposing of your live Christmas tree:
• Place the tree at the curb just as you would for brush collection
• remove all decorations from the tree. Trees placed at the curb with decorations still in place will not be picked up.
• remove metal, wire, nails, screws, or any other foreign materials.
• remove all lights.
