ERCOT has been proactively working on forecasting models for the total solar eclipse April 8th. The models are to reflect reduced solar power production. ERCOT does not expect any grid reliability concerns during the eclipse. ERCOT will continue to monitor conditions and keep the public informed through our communications channels. The total solar eclipse will pass over the ERCOT region on Monday, April 8, 2024, between approximately 12:10 p.m. and 3:10 p.m. CDT.
