The City of Fredericksburg adopts a duo of plans. The Fredericksburg City Council approved both the Comprehensive Plan and the Master Parks Plan on Tuesday. The approval completes a nearly two-year process and replaces documents adopted in 2006 and 2016, respectively. Each plan is slated to serve the community for up to 10 years. The Comprehensive Plan is to be the guiding document for future decisions of the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council. The Master Parks Plan provides a roadmap to enhance Fredericksburg’s recreational spaces through capital projects, operational and programmatic changes and policy considerations.
