On Monday, Fredericksburg ISD approved a memorandum of understanding with Caritas Family Assistance Network. The group is associated with the local St. Vincent De Paul Society. They will help with counseling services that include everything from food assistance, to transportation, to eyeglasses for students, for example. The program would be implemented in the Spring. A coordinator will be hired to work with the counselors to identify children’s needs. There are a few parents concerned about NGO’s on campuses.
