The Hill Country has a housing problem. Fredericksburg ISD are working on a solution to alleviate some of that. The Board of Trustees signed a memorandum of understanding with the Texas Workforce Housing Foundation. The pair believe it would help with staff apartment housing options. The foundation would potentially purchase or build an apartment complex, then use half of the units for teachers and staff. The other half would be leased at market rate with subsidies and depending on income level, to school employees. Reports the Standard Radio Post.
