Gillespie Co - Nebo MountainFire

The Nebo Mountain Fire in Gillespie County impact estimated at 1160 acres, lies primarily between Exxon Road and Legion Creek Road in the northern part of the County. Ground crews patrolled containment lines and targeted hotspots. No fire spread outside containment lines and major areas of concern was reported.  Local crews monitored the area performing mop-up duties. No evacuations were ordered.  No injuries have been reported. Only two outbuildings were reported lost.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office.
