Hays County district clerk is being sued for incompetence in his job. Avrey Anderson of Dripping Springs was elected into office when he was 19. Now at 20, a local resident wants him ousted. A lawsuit filed September 29th claims Anderson hasn’t delivered important notices in a timely manner such as jury summons, subpoenas, and grand jury indictments. Which has allegedly led to a backlog of cases and increased jail population due to the backlog.
