Nihilot DiPiazza, a public health nurse for Kerr County Health Services which covers Gillespie gave a report on the rise of teen suicides to County Commissioners. The CDC says that Gillespie has more suicides than any other place in Texas. A Child Fatality Review Team has been re-activated to address the rates of suicide in Gillespie, Kerr, Bandera and Kendall counties.
