Kendall Co - 18 years for Carl Galm -manslaughter

Guilty plea agreement leads to an 18 year sentence for Bandera man who killed 3 in 2024 in a head-on collision on Texas 46. With the agreement of the remaining members of the Waid family, Carl Sidney Galm 60 pled guilty to 3 counts of manslaughter in the deaths of Roger, Patricia and Blake Waid. Galm will also have to pay a 10 thousand dollar fine.  Instead of waiting in a long line of traffic in October of 2024 on Texas 46, Galm illegally passed more than 6 vehicles in his pick-up truck at 93 miles per hour on a blind curve heading West before hitting the Waid family in their sedan. The 3 members of the Waid family were declared deceased at the scene.
