Kendall Co man sentenced for aggravated sexual assault

Kendall County jury find a Rhome, Texas man guilty of aggravated sexual assault. On Wednesday, Warren Scott Jones, 77 was found guilty of two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and one count of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact.   A local church youth leader reported an outcry of sexual abuse 2 years ago from one of two victims. Both victims disclosed that the Jones was a family member and had committed numerous sexual acts against them when they were both very young.  Evidence was presented detailing a multi-year pattern of abuse that spanned several jurisdictions, including prior residential locations out-of-state, in North Texas where Rhome is located and in Kendall County.  After nearly three days of trial, Jones was found guilty by a jury and sentenced Wednesday for 40 years for each count of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a child, and 20 years for the count of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact.
