Kendall County - Declarationof Local Disaster

Kendall County Judge Shane Stolarczyk issues a DECLARATION OF LOCAL DISASTER. The purpose of this order is to mitigate wildfire hazards by restricting outdoor burning, hot works, and fireworks sales and use. The exceptional drought conditions continue to increase the threat of wildfire across Kendall County which pose an imminent threat of widespread or severe damage, injury, or loss of life or property. The disaster declaration will remain in effect until rescinded, but cannot extend beyond seven days without authorization from the Kendall County Commissioners Court. Violations of the disaster declaration may be punished as a Class C misdemeanor, with a fine of up to $500. The proclamation takes effect immediately upon issuance.
