A second case of rabies in Kerr County has been confirmed. A dead skunk picked up Sunday in a resident’s backyard in Kerrville tested positive. The first case was Friday, also in Kerrville. The resident’s dogs may have been exposed. If not euthanized, then the dogs have to follow a law-mandated rabies protocol. The protocol requires rabies re-vaccination/vaccination and confinements of 45 to 90 days.
