Kerrville - 7% natural gas rate increase

Kerrville residents, expect a 7 percent increase in your natural gas rate. According to the Daily Times. City council approved a resolution for the Atmos rate increase. Mayor Joe Herring said the city had no choice but to go with the resolution as Kerrville is part of a steering committee with other cities serviced by Atmos. The committee uses consultants to review and respond to natural gas issues which affects rates. If Kerrville didn’t go along, the city would have to hire its own consultants to set its own rate.
