Lennar Homes is building 500 homes near Peterson Middle School. The Kerrville city council expressed concerns about investors buying the homes as rentals on Tuesday. Councilman Joe Herring said he didn’t want to incentivize the homebuilder if investors were going to buy up most of the property. Lennar representatives says you can’t limit how many homes are purchased by investors. Mayor Judy Eychner agreed. Plus, Lennar reps say they don’t market to investors. 30 percent is an average of investor purchased homes.
