On March 22, 1972, President Richard Nixon signed into law an amendment change to the Older Americans Act of 1965 to include a national nutrition program for individuals age 60 and older. I’ll be doing a ride-along today with Kerrville volunteers as they deliver meals to Meals on Wheels recipients.
