A tree from the 1850’s was chopped down over the weekend. Kerrville Councilman Place 3 Joe Herring Junior reported the 170 year old tree was removed on Water Street to make way for a boutique hotel. Herring wrote a blog about the history of the tree located between the AC Schreiner Mansion and Herring Printing. He wrote it was on the property of Joshua Brown, a Kerrville founder.
