Kerrville PD - Blue Envelope Program

Kerrville PD launches the Blue Envelope Program.  The voluntary initiative is designed to improve communication between law enforcement and community members who may face challenges during traffic stops and other interactions. The program serves individuals with autism spectrum disorder, dementia, anxiety, ADHD, processing differences, or other conditions and disabilities. A driver can obtain a specially designed blue envelope that will hold their essential vehicle documents, such as a copy of their license and proof of insurance. Printed on the outside of the envelope are clear communication guidelines that help officers immediately recognize that a driver may benefit from additional patience or a modified approach.
