Kerrville - shooting leaves man hospitalized

Early morning shooting in Kerrville leaves a Kerrville man, 39 hospitalized that took place Thursday, September 10th in the 100 block of West McFarland Drive about 8 am. Kerrville PD officers responded to the shooting at a residence on West McFarland Drive where they discovered a man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered first aid and the wounded man was transported to Peterson then airlifted to a San Antonio hospital. The man underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition.   Initial investigation revealed that the man who was shot went to a residence to confront another man regarding an alleged debt. The resident, a 47-year-old man accused the 39 year old of brandishing a knife during the confrontation so he shot him he said in self defense. The investigation is ongoing. No names have been released.
