Kerrville State Hospital to release Kendrix White, killed UT student

A patient of the Kerrville State hospital has been released, against the wishes of the Travis County District Attorney’s Office. Kendrix White’s status was modified from inpatient to outpatient by Travis County District Judge Tamara Needles based on recommendations by hospital officials and the court appointed psychiatrist. White, 29, a former University of Texas at Austin student was found not guilty in the murder and stabbing death of Harrison Brown in 2017…also a UT student and aggravated assault of 3 other students by reason of insanity. White is being moved to a group home in an unknown county. (booking photo)
