The Kerrville Police officer involved in a shooting last week has been identified. Officer Brianna Henson drew her gun on a suspect after a high speed chase when the suspect charged towards the officer as they exited the vehicle. The suspect has been identified as Rosny Josafath Rodriguis-Midence, 21 years of age. He died at the scene. He was not armed. Officer Henson observed Rodriguis-Midence commit several traffic violations on Sidney Baker last Tuesday afternoon. As she tried to conduct a traffic stop, the suspect sped off towards Highway 16 at times reaching 120 miles an hour. Henson pursued him into Gillespie County where sheriff’s deputies and Fredericksburg Police helped to stop the vehicle. The shooting incident occurred after the stop. The Texas Rangers are conducting the investigation. Officer Henson is on paid administrative leave.
