Lakehills - 410 Cares support initiative

New telephone support initiative in Lakehills.  The Lakehills American Legion Post #410 has announced “410 Cares,”. The program is set up to make sure no one feels forgotten or faces a crisis alone.  Recently, two former American Legion Commanders were home alone and unable to call for help for serious health emergencies. They both passed away. Lakehills Post Commander, Jim Schledorn said. "Sometimes the most meaningful thing you can give someone is the comfort of knowing they matter." If someone cannot be reached the legion can follow up, contact family, or even request a welfare check. The program extends beyond veterans to anyone in the community.
