Leander - Governor Abbott hands out checks from Strait Fundraiser

Leander residents receive checks from the George Strait fundraiser for flood relief. Governor Greg Abbott and TDEM Nim Kidd were in the flood ravaged town to present checks to families impacted by the catastrophic July 4th floods. This is the third presentation Governor Abbott has attended to present checks to families whose primary homes were damaged or destroyed. The funds come from the “Strait to the Heart” benefit concert earlier this summer, hosted by George Strait and Estancia Estates Founder Tom Cusick.
