Llano County - librarian lawsuit reach settlement

Librarian lawsuit in Llano County comes to an end with a settlement according to the Austin American Stateman. Suzette Baker, the head librarian of Kingsland Public Library was fired in 2022 for not removing books Llano County officials and residents deemed inappropriate for children. Baker filed a lawsuit against the county, county commissioners, the county judge and several Library Advisory Board members for suppressing her first amendment rights and other residents. Details of the settlement to be made public when everything is finalized.
