Mayra Flores is campaigning to regain her seat in Texas 34th Congressional District. The area is a Hispanic stronghold along the Rio Grande Valley. She lost the seat in a general election in 2022 after 5 months of winning a special election. She reported that the National Republican Congressional Committee has been recruiting her to run. Flores is the first Mexican born Congresswoman elected into office.
