New Braunfels City Council says no to Austin’s Armadillo Den’s plan for a second location in Gruene. The vote was 4 to 3. The Austin Bar and live music music venue owners wanted a rezoning on a 7 acre lot near Hunter Road. The applicants requested the rezoning for an “assembly hall” with an outdoor stage and seating, a bar, food trucks and two pickleball courts. Nearby residents had concerns about noise and increased traffic.
