Texas Senate Bill 10 gives Texas retired teachers a COLA or cost of living adjustment this year. It’s been over 10 years since a retired teacher received the COLA. Voters then passed Proposition 9 in November authorizing a one-time COLA between 2% and 6%, depending on when the teacher retired.
