A new lawsuit has been filed in Bexar County against UPS and FedEx for delivering a gun to the Uvalde shooter. A jury trial is requested to determine compensatory and punitive damages, including for personal injuries, emotional distress, lost future wages and medical expenses. The lawsuit says that FedEx and UPS violated state and federal laws, including one regulating the interstate sale and possession of firearms. It asserts, for instance, that UPS' conditions of carriage say "shipments must not contain goods which might endanger human or animal life." The suit also claims FedEx had a legal obligation to verify the buyer's age before shipping the weapon and failed to do so. Reports expressnews.com.
